Average hourly wages of carpenters in the USA for 2017 based on OES results
So ever wondered what the average hourly wage is of the carpenter that installed your new wooden floor, or built your wooden fence or wall? We take a look at the average hourly wage earned by carpenters per state in the USA based on the numbers published by the BLS. The interactive map of the US shows the average hourly wage per state using a heat map in which the lighter the blue color the lower the average hourly wage and the darker the red becomes the higher the average hourly wage (see the legend at the bottom right of the map). The advantage of a heatmap like this is the fact that one can easily see the difference in hourly wages per state instead of looking at a table for example.
